Bob Gilbert is the author of Ghost Trees: Nature and People in a London Parish, a book about trees and their relationship to people and communities, published by Saraband in 2018.
Ghost Trees was longlisted for both the Rathbones Folio Prize 2019 and the Wainwright Prize 2019.
For the last 20 years Bob Gilbert has written a column for the Ham & High on urban wildlife. He is also the author of The Green London Way and is a long-standing campaigner for inner city conservation.
Bob is currently working on a book titled The Missing Musk, an account of a series of conundrums and mysteries from the natural world. The Missing Musk is due to be published by Sceptre in spring 2023.
