Louise Doughty

Louise Doughty is the author of nine novels: Crazy Paving (shortlisted for four major literary awards including the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize); Dance With Me; Honey-Dew; Fires in the Dark; Stone Cradle; Whatever You Love (shortlisted for the 2010 Costa Novel Award and longlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction 2011), Apple Tree Yard, which has been published into twenty-four languages, and, most recently, Black Water. She has also published a work of non fiction, A Novel in a Year based on her column in the Daily Telegraph. She has written five plays for radio and worked widely as a critic and broadcaster and was a judge for the 2008 Man Booker Prize for fiction.


Louise’s most recent novel, Platform Seven was published in 2019.
