Carlo Gébler


Carlo Gébler is the author of several novels — including The Eleventh Summer, The Cure, How to Murder a Man and The Innocent of Falkland Road — and a number of works of non-fiction, including a travel book, Driving Through Cuba, a memoir, Father and I, and a history, The Siege of Derry.
He also writes fiction for young adults — most recently, The Bull Raid and August 44. A work of non fiction My Father’s Watch: The Story of a Child Prisoner in 70s Britain, co-written with Patrick Maguire, was published in 2008. His memoir, Confessions of a Catastrophist was published in 2015. In 2019 he published an illustrated version of Aesop’s Fables and in 2020 he published Tales We Tell Ourselves, a retelling of tales from The Decameron.
