Mez Packer
Mez Packer is the author of two novels, Among Thieves – shortlisted for the Commonwealth Prize and the Authors’ Club Best First Novel Award – and The Game is Altered.
During the 1980s Mez lived in Europe and sang jazz in bars and nightclubs. In the 1990s she brought up two children, travelled widely in Asia and the Far East and began a career in the media, working for the BBC. Currently she is an assistant professor, lecturing in Creative Writing and Media and Communication at Coventry University, and is a tutor on the Arvon and Curtis Brown Creative courses, among others. She lives in London.
